Starting December 28, Yueyang has entered the “Two Sessions” period. Deputies to the Municipal People’s Congress and members of the Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference—from all sectors and fronts across Pingjiang—are freely expressing their views and offering suggestions at the session, jointly planning for Pingjiang’s future development.

Focus on snack foods and expand industry influence.

The “Government Work Report” demonstrates meticulous and thoughtful consideration, rigorous logic, and strong guiding power in its deliberations on industrial development, key projects, urban-rural integration, ecological civilization, improvement of people’s livelihoods, and democratic rule of law.

Tang Minghui, a member of the Municipal Political Consultative Conference and Chairman of Pingjiang Xinxiangyu Food Co., Ltd., is a delegate from the leisure food industry. “The leisure food industry in Pingjiang has gradually become a key pillar industry for the county, with total output value reaching over 27 billion yuan in 2020.” In Tang Minghui’s view, the leisure food industry in Pingjiang has now taken shape and shows promising prospects; however, many difficulties and challenges still remain in its development. To address these issues, he has submitted a proposal requesting support for the development of Pingjiang’s leisure food industry, hoping that the municipal Party committee and municipal government will pay greater attention to the growth of this sector.
